The 2017 Chevrolet Trax Features Some Big Changes

2017 Chevrolet Trax

The Chevrolet Trax first debuted on the American market a couple model years ago, so it might come as a surprise that General Motors is already making some big changes for the upcoming version of this subcompact crossover SUV. Indeed, the 2017 Chevrolet Trax changes appear to be expansive based on what we’ve seen at its unveiling at the Chicago Auto Show this February. Find out what you’ll have to look forward to with the 2017 Chevrolet Trax.

From what we’ve seen so far, it appears the 2017 Chevrolet Trax will receive some exterior updates this year, bringing it closer in line with the design influence of models like the Cruze and Impala. Look for the front end of the new Chevrolet Trax to feature deep creases where the fog lights fit in, as well as more aggressive angles to the front bumper and grille. You can also look for new daytime running lights and taillights.

When you step inside the cabin, changes to the 2017 Chevrolet Trax become even more obvious. Perhaps the most significant change is a new instrument cluster that is more elegantly integrated. While this model already came with advanced technologies like standard Bluetooth, a Chevrolet MyLink touchscreen interface, a rearview camera, and 4G LTE Wi-Fi, the upcoming Chevrolet Trax takes it to the next leve to include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto advanced smartphone integration features.

It appears that the 2017 Chevrolet Trax will run on the same powertrain. That means a turbocharged 1.4L inline-four will deliver 138 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque to a front-wheel or all-wheel drive system. Fuel economy estimates hit 34 mpg highway and 26 mpg city.
