If you’re looking for a subcompact car with engine and body-style options that provide you with excellent efficiency, ample rear-seat space, and peppy power on demand, then you’re looking for the 2018 Chevrolet Sonic. This bold and bitty car comes in hatchback and sedan body-styles to match your driving style and cargo needs, but with either one you’ll get a sharp vehicle that’s ready to hit the road. And manual transmission lovers can look forward to the standard six-speed available at all trim levels so you can feel connected to your vehicle’s engine, and get premium materials in your cabin. Take a look at the differences between the trims to find out which one is best for you and then stop by to test drive them all today!

Sonic LS: The base Sonic LS is anything but basic. This starting option offers easy-connect Bluetooth, and Chevrolet’s MyLink infotainment system with a seven-inch touchscreen that connects to both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay seamlessly. Indulge in your favorite tunes with the four-speaker audio system and stay connected and charged with an easy-reach USB port. The interior has durable cloth upholstery, and the exterior boasts 15-inch steel wheels along with stunning LED daytime running lights.

Sonic LT: Moving up to the LT trim adds 15-inch alloy wheels to give your vehicle a more premium look. Plus, you’ll get a more convenient cabin thanks to the heated side mirrors, cruise control, steering wheel-mounted controls, and remote start capabilities. Both this trim and the LS come with ECOTEC® 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, but with this trim, you can also upgrade to the turbocharged ECOTEC® 1.4-liter inline-four engine for slightly quicker pickup-and-go.

Sonic Premier: The range-topping Premier trim comes with leatherette upholstery, a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats with a matching heated steering wheel for all-year comfort. On the exterior, you can look forward to 17-inch alloy wheels and a rear spoiler for some extra flair, as well as keyless entry/start for an easy commute. The upgraded multi-information display helps you stay connected and protected on the road with added features for safety as well as infotainment. If you choose the manual transmission, it comes with the RS package, which adds a body kit, fog lights, black bowtie badges, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and a piano-black-accented instrument panel.

Rear parking sensors are available as part of the Driver Confidence package on the LT and Premier grades for added protection on the road. Also offered on the LT and Premier trims, a Performance package adds a lowered suspension and a performance exhaust system that bumps the optional 1.4-liter turbo-four’s output to 148 horsepower and 163 lb-ft of torque.
