By Emily Eppley | November 14th, 2016

Chevrolet is known for its endless exploration for the next best thing. Each new model to the line adds helpful features and exciting details that continue to advance the name of Chevrolet. To our delight, they proved to be on the right track last week at the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas where they unveiled some thrilling concepts for the Malibu and Cruze RS Hatchback with the Chevrolet Blue Line.

While these impressive versions won’t be available directly, you can be sure that many of these magnificent upgrades will make it to later models of your favorite vehicles. Trends from previous years SEMA indicate the brand direction pretty consistently. So, check out our current inventory of new Chevrolet Malibu and new Chevrolet Cruze to see what made the cut.

The Chevrolet Blue Line is a concept line that aims to blend elegance, efficiency, and performance. They demonstrate continuity within the brand by integrating parts that are designed, engineered, and tested by the same team that developed the vehicles, according to Roger McCormack, director, Accessories and Performance Parts Marketing.

“The Chevrolet Blue Line Series concepts integrate accessories that offer greater personalization choices for customers,” said McCormack. “Each vehicle wears production and concept accessories thematically linked under the Blue Line Series banner.”

Both models arrived at SEMA this year with flashy, but not gaudy, exteriors that highlight their name as well as their features. They stood out in stark Genesis White, a bright paint finish that changes hue depending on the light, blue-tinted windows. and 18-inch wheels in slate blue metallic with a rear spoiler, side skirts, and black exterior pieces. “It’s a level of integration that enhances the sporty appearance of the vehicles.”
