When the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt debuts later this year, it will be one of the most advanced and accessible all-electric vehicles on the road. The car is expected to have a 200+ mile all-electric range while producing as much as 200 hp. The powertrain is not all that is innovative about this brand new model, though. Learn more about the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt technology, and plan on testing it out in person at Sunrise Chevrolet.

Advanced Rearview Mirror

In order to give drivers a perfect picture of what’s happening behind the car when backing up, Chevrolet invented an entirely new kind of rearview mirror. It functions like a traditional mirror until the driver activates a switch, at which point it offers a wide-angle view from the rearview camera. That makes it easy to seamlessly parallel park while avoiding dents and dings.

Chevrolet MyLink Interface

The Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system has been redesigned for the 2017 Chevy Bolt and now features a flipboard-style interface that will be immediately familiar to smartphone users. The interface is accessed through an expansive 10.2-inch touchscreen and comes equipped with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto so that you can access your favorite smartphone apps on the go. It even features a program that compares your gas mileage to other Bolt owners.

Wireless Charging

All modern drivers know how easy it is for cell phone chargers to create annoying twists and tangles when you’re trying to use them in the small space of a car. Chevy has solved that problem by equipping the Bolt with a wireless charging station. Simply place your phone on a dedicated part of the center console and it will begin to charge automatically. That way you never have to worry about your battery going dead on the road.

The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt Technology Sets a New Standard

These are some of the technologies we know about already, but the list is far from comprehensive, and the automaker is still releasing details. The 2017 Chevy Bolt will go on sale late in 2016. Once it arrives, discover all that it can do at Sunrise Chevrolet located at 414 E. North Ave in Glendale Heights, IL. Reach out to us for more information as it comes in.
