Announcing the All-New 2017 Chevrolet Bolt Electric Range
In recent years, Chevrolet has been doing its part to help the auto industry go green with the introduction of models like the Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid and the Chevrolet Spark subcompact hatchback. Now, Chevrolet is taking the next step in its development with the introduction of the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt, an all-electric vehicle that promises to provide drivers with affordable, versatile, and fuel-free performance. Chevrolet recently announced the electric range for the all-new Bolt. Check out what we know so far, and get ready to buy this electric vehicle at Sunrise Chevrolet.
The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt will run on an all-electric powertrain and beat out the competition with an incredibly impressive electric range of 238 miles. Under normal conditions, this means that the average commuter—who drives around 40 miles a day—could take the Bolt to work several days in a row on a single charge.
How it Works
The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt is light, aerodynamic, and innovative. We don’t have all the details on the powertrain yet, but what we do know is that the Chevrolet Bolt is built using lightweight but durable aluminum materials and boasts aerodynamic lines to send wind the right way, including an enclosed flat underbody. A special feature called Regen on Demand lets drivers decelerate without touching the brake pedal, essentially transferring energy the kinetic energy released during braking directly back into the vehicle’s electric powertrain. All you’ll have to do to engage it is pull a paddle on the steering wheel.
