The 10th generation 2014 Chevrolet Impala will hit Schaumburg and the rest of the Chicago suburbs next year with a wide variety of options and customizations. There hasn’t been a design overhaul for the Impala since the early 2000s, but the change is welcome and we here at Sunrise Chevrolet couldn’t be more excited.
Features of the 2014 Impala
The world-famous family sedan bears some of the staples of all new Chevrolet models, but there are definitely some unique offerings that have never been seen before. Up front, you’ll find a grille that resembles the sleek, sporty, clean grill of the 2013 Chevy Traverse. Moving inside, the cockpit of the new Impala shares a lot of similarities with the new Chevy Malibu, only with more room. Under the hood, Chevrolet has placed a four-cylinder engine to help boost fuel economy as the hybrid generation becomes increasingly popular. Base versions of the 2014 Chevrolet Impala will carry a 2.5-liter, 195 hp engine that will team up with a six-speed automatic transmission that will send power to the front wheels. The most powerful version of this Impala will be a 3.6-liter V6 that will put out 303 hp; this Impala will run on the same front-wheel drive with a six-speed automatic transmission. Finally, General Motors has also included one of its eAssist mild-hybrid technology models in the 2014 Impala. In this version of the sedan, the same battery that is found in several other popular Chevy models will be used. This 182 hp, 2.4-liter four cylinder engine will get an EPA estimated 35 mpg on the highway, a great rating for a vehicle of this size.
