Expected 2013 Chevy Traverse Features

Equipped with a 3.6L V6 direct-inject engine with variable valve timing, the current Traverse can produce 281 hp at 6,300 rpm with 266 lb-ft of torque at 3,400 rpm with great efficiency. It comes with standard all-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission. With a 22-gallon tank, it is also estimated to get a fuel economy of 16 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway. The Traverse is also bedecked with 17-inch steel wheels with painted wheel covers and comes in four different trims: the LS, 1LT, 2LT, and LTZ. Standard safety features that we expect to be carried over to the 2013 Traverse include StabiliTrak Electronic Stability Control, which helps the vehicle guide itself back onto its main driving path when it starts to swerve. This is especially useful when driving around winding roadways or in bad weather that creates hazardous road conditions. NHSTA studies have shown that cars equipped with electronically controlled stability systems result in 31% fewer fatalities. In addition to eight airbags to protect passengers on all sides during a collision, the Traverse is equipped with OnStar services including Automatic Crash Response, Emergency Services, Crisis Assist, and more.
